I want to thank my World Shapers at Patreon.com/wcmcclure – together, last year, we planted eighty-four trees! Every month, we plant a tree for each World Shaper. We just planted seven more!
It has long bothered me that my writing stories results in taking trees down to make paper for books. Trees provide so much good for this world, from forest ecosystems to the quality of the air we breathe to the beauty where we live. It doesn’t sit right with me to harm that in order to pursue my passion for storytelling. I also love books! I admit it’s an uncomfortable topic within my conscience. My inner dialogues are often heated and contentious.
So, to help find a balance, I committed to having a tree planted each month for each of my World Shapers. We are, after all, shaping our world. I am so honored and delighted to be able to name seven beautiful people in that group: Ann, Jesse, Natalie, Barney, Diane, Mike and Leigh… I appreciate you all so much. Thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement. You’re amazing.
